May Blog Hop - Designer Series Paper

Hi again everyone. 

Well, it's blog hop time again!  Where is the year going??

All excited this week as I am going to Daylesford for this weekend with our beautiful daughter Laura for Mother's Day and before she embarks on an 8 week European tour.  Weather not too good but should have a great time.  Nice bonding weekend.

THEN on Wednesday, I fly to Canberra to meet up with all my stamping buddies for our Stampin' Up! Convention 2012.  SO EXCITED.  Will have so much to tell you when we get back.

Now, back to this blog hop.....if you have come from the lovely ROS DAVIDISON'S blog, welcome.  If you have started here, Hi.  Hope you like my creation.  This month our theme is DSP and as you can see, I have used a lot of it.  I have based it on the idea in the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue on page 6.  Intrigued me right from the beginning and thought this was an ideal time to try.

I've used Attic Boutique, Sweet Shop andTwitterpated DSP from the Autumn/Winter mini and co-ordinating brads, ribbon, buttons, jewels, striped grosgrain ribbon, etc.  As you can see, most rosettes have been punched before assembly to give different effects.  I've tried to show as many DSPs as possible.  A little different to my usual cards, but lots of fun to make, if not time consuming.  Crystal Effects came in very handy to glue everything together.  The only stamp I used was from Mixed Bunch and the inks used were just to sponge the edges.   See, you can make something really pretty without even having to have to use a stamp....

The Paper Players Challenge - #96 CAS Polka Dot

Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add...Me, May, no Mae

Hi everyone.

This week the challenge from JAI is to  Add To Mae.  This is to case something from Mae Collins' blog.  I have chosen a previous JAI colour challenge and card Mae made to case from back in March 2012.

and here is my entry.  Hope you like it.  I've cased a wonderful idea of making the stamps from the gorgeous Rue Des Fleurs set into a dress from my great buddy Kathryn Ruddick.  She has so many fantastic ideas.  ALong with the required cardstock colours, I've used Attic Boutique DSP, the mentioned stamps and some Crystal Effects, glitter and dimensionals along with some ribbon for effect.

Just Add Ink #117 Colour Challenge

Here is my entry. 

I used Whisper White as the card, then layered with So Safforn, Whisper White stamped with So Saffron and then added butterflies (hard to see in photo) using Versamark and Clear Emboss before sponging with Daffodil Delight.  I  added So Saffron striped ribbon and a flower brad before completing last layers.  For this I used So Saffron, then Daffodil Delight then Whisper White with a butterfly stamped in Daffodil Delight and embossed with clear and glitter mixture.  Stampin Dimensionals and pearls complete the card.  Hope you like it.

Just Add....Mother JAI Challenge - No 1 entry

Art With Heart Stamping Team Blog Hop

The challenge for this hop is a scapbook page using as much DSP as possible.

Firstly, I've used the gorgeous Beau Chateaux on a background of Soft Suede cardstock.  Then I've used  the Pocketful of Posies DSP, Flirtatious Specialty DSP and Attic boutique DSP from our new Autumn/Winter mini catalogue.  Some sponging, stamping, spritzing, ribbon, Crystal Effects and bling complete the page.  Hope you like it.  All colours are a combination of those suggested for the Beau Chateaux DSP. (Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Marina Mist)

My second page is made using Very Vanilla cardstock and the gorgeous Attic Boutique DSP from the Autumn/Winter mini.  Colours used are Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Calypso Coral again as suggested for this DSP by Stampin' Up!  Again, sponging, stamping, ribbon, crystal effects and bling complete my project. Hope you like this one too.

Shelli Gardner's Spring Challenge

I decided to have a go at Shelli's challenge this month.  As it is Spring in the USA, we had to make something GREEN.  I decided to make a bright 'springy' card using Pear Pizzazz, Always Artichoke and Whisper White cardstock and Twitterpated DSP (from our new Autumn/Winter mini catalogue).  Our new Edgelits Dies and embossing folder in Adorning Accents, Pear Pizzazz Ink, various punches, pleated satin ribbon (new mini catalogue), antique brads, Crystal Effects and vanilla shimmer Spritz for bling complete my card,

AUTUMN-WINTER MINI CATALOGUE BLOG HOP

Hi everyone

Well, can't believe it's the end of the month of April already and time for our next blog hop. This time, it's our lovely new mini catalogue. If you haven't got your copy yet, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will get it to you asap.

If you have come from the lovely NIKKI SADLER'S blog, welcome. If you have started here, Hi and welcome too. I have a few samples to show you so will give a very brief description of them. Hope you like them.

My first sample is using the gorgeous Bordering on Romance stamp set (page 11, $50.95 W and $40.95 C). I just love this stamp. Here, I have used Very Vanilla cardstock and satin ribbon, embossing folder, and coloured the flowers. For extra bling, I used Crystal Effects and then glitter and some pearl jewels.

Next is the Mixed Bunch stamp set (page 21, $48.95 W and $38.95 C). I've used Pool Party, Blushing Bride and Wisteria Wonder cardstock and ink and DSP Attic Boutique (page 17, $18.95) and the Blossom punch (page 21, $33.95)and some ribbon and brads and glitter for bling.

Another version of the Mixed Bunch set is a bright coloured one using Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight cardstock and ink.

This next one is the Sweet Cake set (page 24, $33.95 W and $26.95) and DSP Sweet Shop (page 23, $18.95) I have also used our brand new Simply Scored Cutting Tool (page 7, $55.95) to make the rosette. Colours here are Pool Party. Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizazz. A bit of glitter, Crystal Effects and brads complete the card.

This last one is made with the Rue Des Fleurs set (page 16, $53.95 W and $42.95 C) and DSP Attic Boutique (page 17, $18.95) Cardstock is Calypso Coral and Whisper White. I've also used our new Framelits Dies in Labels (page 9, $49.95) A bit of ribbon, spritz and glitter, and voila......you have another card.

I love all of this new catalogue. I have been quite industrious lately card making and have used sets from the mini more and more. It is so easy to create with.
