I haven't been on my blog for a whole month! So much has happened in that time. We went to Colorado for 2 weeks holiday in Aspen, then MacKay for my Brother in law's wedding, went to Warburton for a craft/girls weekend, then I was working at the Quilting and Craft Show at Caulfield. I have had 1 full day at home since 28th September!
Here's a few photos I would like to share with you. I took so many it's hard to choose, but here goes.....hope you enjoy.
I am doing our November blog hop so I'm sure I will speak to you again there. It was strange not doing our October one.
She was just wandering across the road in the Black Canyon National Park. She let us get so close to her. We toured around the Aspen area for the first week then met up with close friends for the second week.
This is Black Canyon. Absolutely spectacular.
Independence Monument in the National Monument Canyon near the Utah border. This huge mesa covers 150,000 square miles and incorporates both Zion and Bryce Canyons in Utah. Again spectacular. we were so lucky with the weather too. It was quite hot.
A town called Leadville - the highest town in the USA.
Twin Lakes. A perfect mirror image day for photos on the lake.
Had 3 dumpings of snow in Aspen. This is the view from one of the windows in our bedroom.
Maroon Bells just out of Aspen. Go there every year and it's never been the same. Changes all the time. Just beautiful.
Ski restaurant/lodge at top of Aspen Mountain. Gondola was closed so 11 of us chose to drive up! Very hairy!!!! Snow and ice on the road. Ok going up, slid a lot coming down! But worth it though.
Nearly back down to safe ground!
Down on a special rock at the Roaring Fork River.
An evening with wonderful friends.
Dunk family altogether. Ken lives in Perth, Graeme in Mackay (where the wedding was) and Helen and us in Victoria so we don't get together often. Nice to catch up. Wedding was nice, but so hot and humid.
Everyone stayed in cabins at Hillsborough National Park resort on the wedding night. BBQ tea and breakfast on the beach....lovely
Early morning on the beach where we stayed in MacKay. Very pleasant except for 3 large reef sharks swimming about 10 metres offshore!!
We went inland to a place called Eungalla trying to find the resident platypus - ha, no luck for us. With the mist and rain though, it was beautiful.
Now we head to Hazlewood Cottage in Warburton. We had a GREAT girly craft weekend. Lovely homely cottage, beautiful gardens and best of all, wonderful company. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Craft, craft and more craft......(all for the Craft Show as I hadn't done any preparation whatsoever!)
A small example of the beautiful garden
And then finally the Craft Show and our Stampin' Up stand. We had a lot of fun, met some wonderful people and all enjoyed ourselves. Hope you went and enjoyed it too.
As you can see, I've had a very busy few weeks. Hope you've enjoyed a look through and look forward to catching up with you again very soon - this time with some real craft work!
Take care until next time,

Team Leader, Stampart Inc.
