Hi everybody.
About time I got back here. So much has happened I don't know where to start.
We had our fabulous holiday and a few days after we came home I got rushed to hospital by ambulance with Asthma! Never had it before. Not good for a while. Had spent 2 visits to the Dr in an afternoon and about 2 hours before they decided I had to go....and quickly. Still have no idea what caused it. Regular Dr visits and xrays since are showing an improvement in my lungs and I'm on so many meds it's not funny. It's taken up until this week for me to start and feel a bit more normal. Just as well I haven't got a job - yet because I wouldn't have been able to work anyway. At least I'm starting to feel more like myself now even if I am still coughing.
We had our Melbourne Regionals last Saturday and what a great day that was. Wonderful company and as usual SU treated us really well. We had 4 make and takes and lots of demonstrators telling us different things plus staff from the US and we learnt just so much. Looking forward to Convention 2011 which is in May and being held in Melbourne this year - over 3 days so it should be fabulous. I will post a separate entry on what we actually went through at Regionals, together with some photos.
I've also changed my craft area from the dining room to the study where my Husband had all his work stuff. He only uses his computer after work at night and I stamp a lot more, so instead of ME using the dining room, he is now. As you can see by the photos, it's GREAT for me and I love it. Everything fits in including my filing cabinet of cardstock behind the door. Very happy with the results. Just need a few different containers that fit better on the shelves and I'm done, but they can wait. Now I have to help Ray fix up his stuff in the cabinet in the dining room......need some nice storage containers to hide some of the 'junk'. (Hope it doesn't come back and bit me on the b.. because I did it when Ray was in Tasmania and 'surprised him' on Friday when he came home - heard grumbles because he couldn't find something last night!) But, don't you agree it's a great craft room now....
Now, back to our blog hop. I haven't been in the last 2 because of other commitments, so am looking forward to taking part in this one. You may have come from the very talented Tina Gillespie's blog, but if you have started here, that's fine. Just click on Judy May's name at the end of my blog and that will take you to her site. It's just a bit of fun we have within our great group. We would all like to hear your comments too if you have a moment to add your thoughts.
I decided to make a special Christmas box of cards using the special Christmas Cocoa DSP and Riding Hood Red. I've used the Scallop Trim border punch, white Organza ribbon, words from Welcome Christmas and decorations from the great Delightful Decorations stamp set. Inside I have a selection of Christmas cards. A very welcome Christmas present for someone special. I have cased or based a couple of these cards from swaps at our recent Regionals because I loved them and thought you would like to see them too. Please note that due to quality control, our Ornament punch is temporarily unavailable. Below is a selection of photos showing my Christmas theme. Hope you enjoy.
This is my Christmas box.
Now for the cards that are in it.
This one is Very Vanilla, Real Red, Certainly Celery, Early Expresso, Sahara Sand, our Two Step Owl and Large Heart Punches and Curly Cute, Fresh Cuts and I {Heart} Hearts stamp sets with Pearl Jewels and Dazzling Diamonds for bling.
This one is Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy again using the Curly Cute stamp set and the popular Dasher stamp.
Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, River Rock, Soft Suede, and Two Step Owl and Bird punches and stamps from Lovely as a Tree and Snow Swirled with some bling made this one.
Bashful Blue, Brushed Silver and Whisper White and Snow Swirled with bling and our new Frost White Shimmer Paint went into making this one.
Real Red, Whisper white, Christmas Cocoa DSP and Red ribbon from our special November offer and circle punches, Seasons of Joy stamp and once again the shimmery look of Frost white Shimmer Paint with Pearl Jewels for added effect.
Colours are not very clear here....Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Whisper white with delightful Decorations and Lovely as a Tree and Many Merry Messages together with the Scallop Border Punch and again Frost white Shimmer Paint and Rhinestone jewel complete this one.
Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Whisper White with Teeny Tiny Sentiments and Modern Label and Owl and Scallop Circle and circle punches and PerfectPolka Dots embossing folder. Crystal Effects adds highlights.
And here is the whole set laid out.
Just in case you lose your way, here is a complete list of those participating for our Christmas theme hop.
