Clean out time....

Hi there.  Good to see you have dropped by.

Well, I haven't made anything new so far this week, BUT I have been having a huge clean out of all old cards etc I have put aside which have been started using now retired products. I've decided to finish everything, put a nice insert in them and try and sell them for just a fraction of costs. If they don't sell I will be looking for somewhere to donate as I have far too many cards just 'hanging around'.

I'm going away next week, so no crafting, but I will go away feeling satisfied that I have done something positive to start and clean out my craft space. What do you do with your older cards, etc? Any ideas in the comment box would be appreciated.

IT"S ESAD BLOG HOP TIME AGAIN........

Hi everyone.

Welcome to my blog.  Yes, it's ESAD blog hop time again, and this time we are using products from our new Occasions Catalogue.  Items in this catalogue are available from 28th January right through til 30 June.

 

What is ESAD? 

ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin' Up Demonstrators.

We love what we do & love to share with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors. We also share what we love in our ESAD Demonstrator community, through swaps, challenges, sharing knowledge, ideas & friendship, and we're always there to help and support each other.

I have made some items using new catalogue products.

First up is a topper for the Tag a Bag gift boxes (130927) using the Spiral Flower originals die 129379) and the natural 5/8" Chevron ribbon (132982) and1 1/4" Burlap ribbon (132140).  A  Tea Lace paper doily (129399) and some pearl jewels completes the topper.  I've used the Happy Watercolour (133188 wood, and 133191 clear) and Petite Petals (133152 wood and 133155 clear) stamp sets on the sides of the box.  Very cute I reckon and easy to do.

 

Next is a card made using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch (133324) and Happy Watercolour and Off the Grid (130736) stamp sets, a Tea Lace paper doily and Summer Starfruit stitched satin ribbon (126846).   Colours used are Calypso Coral, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Summer Starfruit.  This Happy Watercolour stamp set is my very favourite stamp at the moment.  Just LOVE it.

Then I decided to make this cute little box again using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and DSP from the Kaleidoscope series (132995).  Stamp from Perfect Pennants (133227 wood and 133230 clear), the Chevron Border punch (132154) and some ribbon complete it.  Again very easy to make and very cute too.  Colours are Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry.

 

Next is a masculine card.  I've used the Look Up to Father stamp set (133218) because this is very special to me at the moment.  My darling Dad is going through some very difficult health problems and the wording on this is just lovely, don't you think.  I've also used the Hexagon Hive thinlits die (132965) and the Hardwood (133032 wood and 133035 clear) background stamp.  Colours are Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.  another great easy card.

 

Then I've just made a very simple card using the Watercolour Wonder DSP (132994) and Petite Petals and Flower Shop (130939 wood nd 130943 clear) stamp sets and colours are Whisper White, Canteloupe Crush and Crushed Curry.  Some ribbon and pearl jewels complete another item to show you.

Wedding Cards....

Hello again.  Lovely to see you here.

My daughter asked for a wedding card a week or so ago.  As I always do, I made several so she could choose which one she wanted.  I have to say most of the products used are current, or in some cases, retired, Stampin Up and just very occasionally I will use some other product to achieve my desired results.

This was made using Whisper White and Silver Foil cardstock and silver embossing powder.  Main stamp is SU's Flowerfull Heart. Congratulations is from the Love and Laughter set.

This one was made again using white and silver and the stamp is from the Best of Brides and Babies set.  Elegant, but modern don't you think.

Very vintage look in very vanilla and crumb cake with lace, ribbon and flowers.  OK not quite all current SU but I love it anyway.  If you would like to know more details, just contact me and I can forward.

Believe it or not, the card she decided to use isn't here.....I forgot to take a photo of it before she sent it!  I actually used Very Vanilla and Gold Foil cardstock and the bride from the Love and Laughter set.  Quite plain, but nice.  I always match tne inside of the card and the envelope to whatever design I use.  Just finishes it off nicely.

New Occasions and Sale A Bration Catalogues......

Hi again.

It's such an exciting time for us at Stampin' Up this time of year.  We have not one but THREE current catalogues...

HAPPY WATERCOLOUR (my absolute favourite), Petite Petals and Sweet Cake.  Some Organza ribbon and pearl jewels and voila.....another simple, pretty card.  I cannot emphasise how easy and quick these cards are to make.

This final card is made using...once again.....Happy Watercolour (coloured) and Sweet Sorbet DSP and Adorning Accents embossing folder and Edgelit and black Stayzon ink (because I wanted to watercolour it).  Papers used are Pool Party, Silver Glimmer Paper and Whisper White.  Lovely and fresh.  Some dimensionals and silver ribbon finishes it off.

Hi AGAIN....

Hello everyone.  Just a quick post......I have been getting a little spare time to make some items to show you.  Family health issues and our dreadful weather are really taking it's toll on me. 

Spare a thought for those poor people who have been affected by our disasterous bush fires this week.  5 years ago it was us being threatened, so I know how they are feeling.  No words can help when you lose everything.  We were fortunate, but there are many more who have not been so.  Also, the poor, poor animals too who have been caught.  The areas burnt are heavily populated with hobby and larger farming so there are many large animals on properties.  Many, many of these have been affected either driectly from the fire or now with no feed or water available easily.  It's just too terrible to think about.....my thoughts are with everyone concerned.  I know quite a few families who have been affected.   If it wasn't for our heros.....our firefighter, half the state of Victoria would have been wiped out I reckon with the weather conditions we, and they, are up against.  .....and summer isn't over yet.  Please pray for RAIN!

Here's a couple of cards I have made this week.  I have cased them from an Aussie Inkpressionsists Occasions catalogue swap.  Thanks must go to Kathryn Ruddick and Karen McGoldrick for their beautiful cards and ideas they gave me.

This one was made using the gorgeous Watercolour Wonder DSP and Petite Petals stamp set both from our Occasions Catalogue (which runs from Jan 28 - June 30) together with some embelishments.

and this one was made using the same DSP and Chalk Talk stamp set and embelisments.  Both gorgeous don't you think.

I'll try and keep you up to date with what I am working on.  Family illness is a big problem here and I don't know how long I can keep up with lots of new crafting ideas, so I'm trying to download everything onto here as soon as I make them so I can show you the beautiful products we have to hand. Hopefully I can keep going regularly for a long time yet......
